About Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens

[metaslider id=1218]Founded in 1988, Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens, Inc. is a non-profit corporation committed to the preservation and improvement of Fellows Riverside Gardens as a cultural, educational, and aesthetic center in the community where people and plants connect. Under the auspices of Mill Creek MetroParks, a county-based park system serving Mahoning County, Fellows Riverside Gardens encompasses twelve acres in the Mahoning Commons near downtown Youngstown.

This purpose is achieved financially through contributions to Fellows Riverside Gardens, direct funding of appropriate projects, and by assisting Mill Creek MetroParks with fundraising for significant Gardens improvements. Profits from the Shop in the Gardens support the Gardens.

The organization sponsors a variety of programs designed to increase knowledge of the growth and culture of ornamental plants, promote environmental awareness and conservation, and bring horticulture more centrally into our lives. Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens seeks in all ways to inspire the continued discovery and enjoyment of Fellows Riverside Gardens.
